Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account data: email address and authentication identifiers, managed through our third-party authentication provider.
• Third-party sign-in: if you sign in with a third-party account such as Google or Apple, we receive only the basic profile information you authorize that provider to share, typically your name, email address (or a private relay address if you choose to hide your email), and profile picture. We use this only to create and secure your account. We never receive your password for that provider and we do not access any other data or services in that account. You can revoke this access at any time in the provider account settings. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• Study data: practice answers, writing samples, speaking recordings you submit for scoring, scores, and progress.
• Payment data: payments are handled by payment processors. We do not store your card details on our servers.
• Usage data: device, browser, and interaction information used to keep the service secure and improve it.
• Support requests: when you send us a message through the support page or the Feedback button, we receive it along with the address of the page you sent it from. Messages sent with the Feedback button also include basic device and browser details (such as your browser, operating system, language, time zone, screen and window size, and connection type), the practice session and page you were on if you were practicing, and recent error messages from your current visit. We use these details to look into and reply to your request. These messages are linked to your account. The details we attach do not include your practice answers. When you report an issue with an explanation, the message is prefilled with the question details and your answer, and you can edit it before sending.

2. How we use your information

• To provide practice tests, scoring, and feedback.
• To sync your progress across web and mobile.
• To send essential messages such as verification codes, receipts, and account notices.
• To improve the platform and protect it against abuse.

3. AI processing

Speaking and writing submissions are sent to third-party AI service providers, which may be located in the United States and other jurisdictions, to generate scores and feedback. These providers process your submissions under data processing agreements and only to deliver this service. We do not use your content to train AI models and we do not use it for advertising. 4. Sharing and disclosure

We share data only with service providers that operate the platform: authentication, payment processing, hosting, email delivery, and AI scoring, each limited to the data needed for its function. We may disclose information when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Essential cookies (authentication, security, preferences) are always active and are required for the service to work.

We use privacy-focused, cookieless web analytics to measure aggregate traffic and page performance. This does not identify you personally.

We may use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing, which rely on Google advertising cookies and similar technologies to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show you relevant ads on Google and its partner sites based on your visits to our website. This data is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out through Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com or by disabling advertising cookies in your browser. Where required by law, we treat this activity as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising and honour opt-out requests, including Global Privacy Control signals.

When you create an account or complete a purchase, we may also send Google a hashed (SHA-256) version of your account email address so that Google can match that action to an earlier ad click. The address is hashed in your browser before it is sent, and it is not sent when your browser signals Global Privacy Control.

We do not share your practice submissions, passwords, or payment details with analytics or advertising partners.

6. Data retention

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Speaking recordings and scored submissions are retained while your account is active so you can review your history.

7. Your rights and choices

• Access and update your account information at any time.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.
• Opt out of advertising cookies and cross-context behavioral advertising as described in section 5.

8. International users

The service is operated from Canada. Your data may be transferred to and processed in Canada and in the regions where our service providers operate. The service is not offered to individuals located in the European Union or the European Economic Area, and we do not target EU or EEA residents.

9. Age requirement

The service is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy with notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
