How Reading Part 3 is scored
Reading is scored by computer, one point per correct answer and no penalty for a wrong one. Your raw score out of 38 converts to a CELPIP level from 1 to 12, aligned with CLB. The conversion is equated to each test form, so the exact raw score a level needs can shift slightly with that sitting’s difficulty.

Why can I not just search for matching words?
The statements reword the passage on purpose. A paragraph can share words with a statement and still not contain its meaning, which is exactly the trap.
